Misery For Layers as the Enemy Find Form

2011-03-26

Table toppers for March are Bookies Enemy, who ended the month with a pleasing 34.1 point profit. Personal Info ran them close, finishing with 31.5 points, while Ostler’s Racing Club, Steve Jones Daily Bargain, Insideoutracing and PJA National All Weather all ended with healthy profits.

Bookies Enemy owed their success to an amazing run between 5 and 13 March when everything they touched turned to gold.  The Nicky Richards-trained Skippers Brig got the ball rolling, with a 4/1 Kelso success. Three days later, Jukebox Melody (9/4), Tiptoeaway (10/11) and Semi Colon (7/4) all landed the odds. A one-point win trixie helped to boost the profit for the day to a staggering 48.3 points. Wakeboard, a 9/4 Catterick selection the following day, also won, completing a run of five successive winning advices. Bookies Enemy’s next tip, Overlut (10/1), also contributed to the kitty, earning good each-way money when finishing third.

The good form was carried through to the end of the month, with Sedgefield novice hurdle winner Scriptwriter (4/1) receiving the Bookies Enemy endorsement.

The 2011 Cheltenham Festival was a memorable one for Personal Info. Four horses were advised during the course of the four-day meeting, and they all triumphed. Champion Hurdle winner, Hurricane Fly (4/1), and Quevega (5/4), successful in the Mares Hurdle for the third year in a row, were both advised on day one as were Chicago Grey (4/1), victorious in the National Hunt Chase on day two, and Big Buck’s (1/1) who retained his World Hurdle crown on the Thursday.

Between 10 and 21 March, Personal Info enjoyed a sequence of eight successive winners and, over the period under review, they secured an extremely impressive 50% strike-rate.

The Gold Cup success of Long Walk was the first of a run of three successful advices for The Ostler’s Racing Club this month. The sequence was completed by Gowran Park winner, Ruler Of All (7/1) and Newton Abbot victor Topolski (3/1).

Steve Jones Daily Bargain service also hit form this month with All Weather winners New Leyf (14/1), Sir Nod (6/1), Copperwood (11/2) and Kidlat (13/8) all being recommended.

After a steady month of winning advices Insideoutracing saved the best till last when recommending Dessie Hughes’ Navan novice chase winner, Coscorrig. The Pistolet Bleu mare was sent off a 7/1 chance, but lucky Insideoutracing subscribers were in on the 9/1 available early doors.

Having led the table in each of the last three months, PJA All Weather took a back-seat in March, but they still ended the month in credit thanks to winners such as Dvinsky, Veroon and Clearing House, all advised at 10/1. As of 26 March, PJA All Weather lead the 2011 Challenge. They currently hold a 35 point lead over Personal Info with Gorrie UK in third.

April is always one of the busiest months of the year with the fledgling Flat season and the last few weeks of jumping jockeying for attention. The Lincoln, Aintree and the Grand National, the Craven Meeting and the Scottish National all come in quick succession. Log on soon to find out how our tipsters have coped during this hectic period.

Besttipping receive selections from all the tipsters well before the start time of the event. These selections (the same ones they are sending out to their regular subscribers) are later settled against the day's results and entered into the Besttipping database. The result is that we are able to display a complete and accurate (and above all, independently verifiable!) record of how each service is performing over a period of time.

Many tipsters claim impressive track records and in some cases, these results are undoubtedly true. Claims though, are very easy to make and without proper policing and easily understandable analysis it is difficult for the potential customer to subscribe with any real confidence. Besttipping is the only 'Professional' service and is unique in that it offers for free the chance for you to:

  • View results graphically
  • View results by level flat stake (£10, £50 or £100 you decide)
  • View results by points (if the tipster uses this system)
  • View total win value and percentage of winners
  • View results over different periods e.g. 30 days, 90 days, year to date
  • Monitors laying as well as backing services

The importance of long-term subscriptions.

Looking back over the performances of our tipsters since we started collecting data in October 2005, what strikes me most is the incredible consistency shown by the top performers. Not only are the same names who were at the top of our tables in December still at the top, but the amount of profit shown to their clients has increased steadily.

This is not to say though that they will never have negative weeks or even months. In fact they ALL have, and will no doubt have more in the future. The important thing to appreciate when deciding to subscribe to a service is that it has to be a long term investment to be worthwhile. It is true that you may subscribe for a month and be lucky enough to show a huge return, but the consistent and reliable returns are shown over time.

Besttipping is there to identify how tipsters have performed in the past so that you can gauge how they might perform in the future. Having chosen the service you feel offers the best long term value, make a long term commitment and decide on a stake amount which does not overstretch you during the losing periods, while at the same time makes the subscription fee worthwhile.

Best of Luck!!
