Disciplined Those2oppose lead the way

2013-03-23

Those2oppose, another relatively new addition to the Besttipping stable, headed our tipster table for the four week period up to 23 March. They achieved a 12 point yield. PJA Flat made an impressive return to action to steal second place while third placed Personal Info continued their magnificent run, recording their 54th profitable month in the last 65.

“This is not a service for action junkies. We prefer a more disciplined, selective approach as our method of achieving significant long term profits.” This is how Those2oppose sum up their betting methodology and that strategy is certainly paying dividends as this month’s profit follows useful gains in two of the previous three months.

Champagne Fever, the impressive winner of the Supreme Hurdle on the opening day of the Cheltenham Festival was advised at 15/2 while, six days later, Those2oppose scored again thanks to the Olivia Maylan-trained veteran Llamadas (advised at 13/2), who obliged in a two mile slog on the All Weather at Kempton.

The weather caused problems throughout the month, with the traditional curtain-raiser to the Flat season, the Lincoln, being snowed off. Nevertheless, PJA Flat had already made a winning start to the season when 6/1 advice Personal Touch scored under two-time champion jockey Paul Hannigan.

Personal Info took their profitable month strike-rate to a phenomenal 83% with another solid performance. The month began with a series of narrow misses with two seconds and a third. Add to this Boston Bob’s fall in the RSA Chase, and it becomes apparent that had the fates been kinder, then Personal Info would have posted an extremely impressive yield. A profit was secured thanks to the Champion Hurdle victory of Hurricane Fly (5/2 advice), fellow festival victor At Fishers Cross (3/1) and 9/4 Southwell winner, Mataajir.

On the subject of Personal Info, check out the Offer of the Week (located just above this article) for details of a fantastic offer. Hurry, though, as it is only available for a limited period.

Another newcomer to Besttipping, The Sportsman, was denied a profit by Champagne West’s narrow defeat at Ffos Las on 16 March. Prior to this, three of their previous five bets had prevailed (at advised odds of 13/8, 4/6 and 10/11) while the other two finished second and third. The Sportsman’s form-figures since joining us on 11 February make extremely impressive reading: 3113201130211312.

Successful advices Gabbiano (11/2, Kempton 27 February), Wily Fox (7/1 Market Rasen, 10 March) and Upham Atom (9/2, Taunton, 11 March) helped to bolster CD System’s bold start to 2013. As well as those three winners no fewer and eight of this month’s remaining 19 bets either finished second or third. With a 40 point gain thus far in 2013, CD Systems stand second in our overall table, trailing Rightprice by just less than thirty points. PJA All Weather are currently third with 27.8 points, with Insideoutracing, Personal Info, PJA National Hunt, Those2oppose and PJA Flat all boasting healthy profits with the year already a quarter of the way through.

So, Cheltenham is behind us but Aintree and the Grand National are looming large. The early Classic trials follow, making April one of the busiest periods of the racing year.
