Cavalier PJA Flat Surge Clear

2011-06-25

For the third month in a row PJA’s Flat service finished top of the Besttipping table. This months profit, 52.2 points, followed April’s 35 point gain and a near 26 point yield in May. All told, this means PJA Flat have now overtaken their stable companion, PJA All Weather, at the top of the 2011 table.

June began in spectacular fashion for PJA Flat with 8/1 advice, Flying Applause, storming home by six lengths in a Nottingham sprint, and Resurge (10/1) scoring on Oaks Day at Epsom. A steady stream of lucrative winners followed including: Oriental Cavalier (8/1, Doncaster, 4 June); Classic Descent (17/2, Ripon, 16 June); Ivory Silk (8/1, Newmarket, 18 June); Miami Gator (16/1, Carlisle, 22 June); Kayaan (10/1, Leicester, 23 June) and Ellemujie (8/1, Newmarket, 24 June).

PJA Flat, like its sister services, PJA All Weather and PJA National Hunt, generally advice half point win and half point each-way bets, and the advantage of including an each-way element was again apparent in June. With numerous advices priced at 8/1 and upwards finishing second or third, a steady stream of small but valuable profits were gained alongside the bundle of big-priced winners. PJA invariably also identify bets with firms offering ‘Best Odds Guaranteed’. This ensures that attractive early prices can be taken, safe in the knowledge that should the sp be better, then bets will be settled to the higher price.

Winner finding over jumps during the summer can be something of a challenge, but PJA National Hunt is having no such problems, posting a third successive monthly profit. 14/1 advice Consulate, led the way, winning at Uttoxeter on 29 May. Worcester victor Occasionally Yours and Mardood, a winner at Sedgefield, both 8/1 advices, also helped to swell the coffers.

Steve Jones (Daily Bargain) was also among the winners this month. He was in particularly good form between 2 and 9 June, when from seven selections, he found four winners: Gabama (5/1), Captain Dunne (13/2), Hinton Admiral (4/1) and Taurus Twins (4/1)

The high point of another profitable month for Personal Info was the impressive Royal Ascot success of Frederick Engels in the Windsor Castle Stakes. The David Brown-trained juvenile finished well clear of the field under Johnny Murtagh. A well-backed 9/4 chance, he had been earmarked by Personal Info at a far more appealing 9/2 (again with the Best Odds Guarantee proviso). Five days earlier, Personal Info had also been on the mark with Newbury winner, Rumh (3/1).

Stage Attraction (8/1) and Bouncy Bouncy (6/1) were winning selections for Gorrie UK, while PJA All Weather’s winners included Premier League (7/1) and Archie Rice (10/1). Meanwhile, the former champion jockey Richard Dunwoody landed another winner, in his role as a tipster, with the aforementioned Frederick Engels.

Racing highlights over the next four weeks include the 125th running of Sandown’s Eclipse Stakes (Britain’s first £10,000 race), the Newmarket July Meeting, York’s John Smith’s Magnet Cup and the mid-summer highlight, the King George VI & Queen Elizabeth Stakes at Ascot.

Great Graphs and Functionality Sign up for free to Besttipping.

Besttipping receive selections from all the tipsters well before the start time of the event. These selections (the same ones they are sending out to their regular subscribers) are later settled against the day's results and entered into the Besttipping database. The result is that we are able to display a complete and accurate (and above all, independently verifiable!) record of how each service is performing over a period of time.

Many tipsters claim impressive track records and in some cases, these results are undoubtedly true. Claims though, are very easy to make and without proper policing and easily understandable analysis it is difficult for the potential customer to subscribe with any real confidence. Besttipping is the only 'Professional' service and is unique in that it offers for free the chance for you to:

  • View results graphically
  • View results by level flat stake (£10, £50 or £100 you decide)
  • View results by points (if the tipster uses this system)
  • View total win value and percentage of winners
  • View results over different periods e.g. 30 days, 90 days, year to date
  • Monitors laying as well as backing services

The importance of long-term subscriptions.

Looking back over the performances of our tipsters since we started collecting data in October 2005, what strikes me most is the incredible consistency shown by the top performers. Not only are the same names who were at the top of our tables in December still at the top, but the amount of profit shown to their clients has increased steadily.

This is not to say though that they will never have negative weeks or even months. In fact they ALL have, and will no doubt have more in the future. The important thing to appreciate when deciding to subscribe to a service is that it has to be a long term investment to be worthwhile. It is true that you may subscribe for a month and be lucky enough to show a huge return, but the consistent and reliable returns are shown over time.

Besttipping is there to identify how tipsters have performed in the past so that you can gauge how they might perform in the future. Having chosen the service you feel offers the best long term value, make a long term commitment and decide on a stake amount which does not overstretch you during the losing periods, while at the same time makes the subscription fee worthwhile.

Best of Luck!!

Besttipping is independently audited by a firm of accountants, to ensure our data is 100% accurate.  Further, the accountants have confirmed that Besttipping proofing procedures are in line with the CAP Help Note on Betting Tipsters.

CAP is the industry facing sister organisation of the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA).  CAP writes and administers the Code that advertisers (in this case Tipsters) need to comply with and to respond to, consumer complaints about advertisements that fall within the Code's terms of reference.  Besttipping sought advice from CAP when setting procedures for their proofing service and have agreed and put in place a number of procedures in accordance with the CAP Help Note and guidelines for Betting Tipsters.
